Elder Wilner Cusic
Wilner Pope-Cusic has dedicated 30 years to assisting parents of children with disabilities navigate the Indiana special education system. She is the proud mother of three adult children, one of whom has autism, and four wonderful grandchildren.
Elder Wilner is a co-founder of Community Action for Education (CAFÉ) and has served on the Governor’s Planning Council, as well as various statewide transition councils and advisory boards. She is an ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) trainer and a graduate of Partners in Policy Making. Her advocacy includes testifying before the Indiana legislature on special education rights.
Beyond her professional achievements, Elder Wilner has been devoted to her faith, working for Christ for 37 years. She expresses her love for the Lord, His people, and especially Apostle Jeff and Pastor Kim. Believing in miracles, signs, and wonders, she considers herself a walking, talking miracle.
